Welcome to NikkiKatz.com, the portal through which I express my thoughts on writing, parenting, work, and more.

I’m a freelance writer, author, wife, rocket scientist, mother of three, friend, daughter, sister, and often-times more. I live in the beautiful city of San Diego, CA where I work from home. I have two daughters (in elementary school) and a toddler son.

I have a pretty varied professional background. My degree is in aerospace engineering, but I have worked in several industries (none of which are engineering related!). I worked in management consulting, joined the Internet industry in NYC when it was at its peak, then moved on to freelance work and writing novels. I currently am working on many different projects and recently received representation for my young adult urban fantasy manuscript (Shoreline). I’m editing my second novel (SoulCatcher), and working on my third!

Professionally, I have over ten years experience as a freelance writer. Tasks and projects have included social media, blogging, writing original content, creating press releases, writing newsletters, and so much more!
